Omnibus Author Center presents: Mollie Eliot

Mollie Sheldon Eliot is the owner of Quest Publishing and author of "Portrait of Q," an autobiography of an extraordinary person with multiple personality disorder. These personalities experience life inside and outside simultaneously, and refer to each other as a system. Other multiples may use the words "family," "group," or say they are "part of" a combination. Eliot's collective is Q.

Being a multiple personality seems normal to us. As far back as we can remember, we were multiple. But we learned very early we were different from other children. We learned to hide. We were so good at hiding that few people, even family members, suspected we were multiple.

Each of us looks different inside. Each of us has a sense of self, or completeness. Each of us has had complete control of the body for periods of time ranging from minutes to months for various reasons ... usually with, but occasionally without, the knowledge or consent of the rest.
